The heat was unbarrable, as the black husky stride down the parks trails. Walking along passing nothing but old abandoned trails, and playgrounds, as she passes a bush, and hears the leaves ratteling beside her, she takes a quick glance over, pays no attention to it, and keeps on walking along. She may have gotten 10 feet away, and got that strange feeling as if she was being watched. She felt like she was no longer alone. She would move along, more curiously than she was before. Every step she takes, she feels that she must glance back to see what is hunting her. After a few mintues has passed, she pays no more attention to it. She keeps walking along. She finds a large peach tree that has shade underneath it, for her to lay under. The tree was right by a old un-filled water-fountain. She lay down to the sound of the wind blowing and leaves rustling. Skye had fallen asleep... She was just a mier pup. Walking along waterfalls with this strange pit bull, that she'd never seen before. All of a sudden, the strange pit pull, grabs the pup by her neck and starts to run with her. She hears howls behind her, sounding a lil' alike her mother, what she can remember of her anyways. She has fainted. When she awakens she's lying in a dumpster in a very unfamiliar alley. She finds herself to have no collar on and her left paw is bleeding. She peeks out of the dumpster she ended up in, just to see the strange pit bull that had been "man handeling" her earlier that day. She yelps because she feels something biting at her back paw, she moved away the disgusting garbage from her behind, to see a aweful ratcoon trying to find food. She yelps louder, and that aweful pit bull, turns around quickly, jumps in and grabs the pup, and starts again, running with the pup. This time, the pup struggles to get free, and she succeeded. But, teh paw that had been bleeding, was hurting like hell, and it was excrusiating pain.. But she ran like she had never ran before. She had no idea at all where she was going, but she ran like there was no tomorrow. She came up on a little village where there was nothing but disasterous little huts, and an old campfire that seemed burned out ages ago! She had woken up to feeling as if a shadow was hovering above her.

Clanth was crouched on he top bar of the rusty old park swings, feathers ruffled in the heat, sharp black eyes surveying the dead-grass area around him, occasionally shifting on his perch. The Striated Caracara was hungry, and knew he should be looking around a Dumpster of in one of the sheep fields for dead sheep; his breed was usually quite lazy and mischievous; scavengers. But Clanth... He turned his beak up at human leftovers; they were quite disgusting really, and preferred to do his own hunting - with long, sharp talons and a viciously hooked beak, aswell as a metre and a half wingspan, he was perfectly capable of it.
Feeling cheeky, and a little bored, he hopped down onto the cracked and weedy, once soft, tarmac and began flapping and pecking at the chains on the swings as though trying to break through them, although in his smart mind he knew it was impossible. It was just fun. Clanth felt a slight pang of guilt all of a sudden as he thought of fun; he should be searching for his mate. He had lost her so long ago... Once again the brown and black bird pondered what was keeping him here in this dreary, human-less town, when he had passed through much greater areas on his quest.
He looked up suddenly from his half-hearted pecking, sensing something - or someone - nearby. He fluttered up onto the seat of the swing and peered over the bush blocking him from the path. A black dog about twice his size was trotting past looking rather sad. Curious, he followed quietly, strutting, hopping and flapping along in the bushes on either side of the path. Then she looked behind her fearfully once more, and nearly saw him! Although he was not sure why Clanth did not want her to see him just yet. So he launched into the air, and from then on flew silently above her, his shadow disguised in the greenery around the dog. But he did not fly for long; she collapsed down under a peach tree and he landed carefully in it, eyeing up a large peach on the branch below him. Seeing no trouble from the creature below, the bird hopped down and pecked at it, biting away at the soft fruit.
When he was done, Clanth looked down again to see how the black dog was doing, and saw she had fallen asleep! With a little squawk he flapped awkwardly down to her, and saw she was whimpering and jolting in her uneven sleep. He stood over her, worried, hoping she was okay. And then she opened her eyes.

The bird was huge...well to her it was and she was not frightened. It had snuck up on her and now she was mad. She growled fiercly showing her teeth and raising her fur. The bird was curious but she was not in the mood. Her body tense she stalked toward it growling. Once in range she snapped inches from it's chest knowing 2 things could happen. 1. it would back up or 2. it would snap backk.

Clanth hissed and flapped his wings at the advancing dog and ruffling his feathers to make himself appear bigger. But he shuffled back a little all the same, narrowing his Black eyes in annoyment. He did not know if he could speak dog or not, and, suddenly annoyed by her ferocity, was in no mood to test it out. So, in his own squawking, hissing language, the Striated Caracara growled to her in alarm, "Would you quit it!? I was only seeing if you were okay! Does it alarm you so that I could care, dog?"

'Shock' wouldn't have covered it. He put his head back, eyes wide, and put his great wings out in a sort of leap backwards for his surprise. She may not understand me, he thought in horror, but I can understand her... Clanth tried to mimic the noise for a few seconds, looking in vague hopefulness a the Dog who had either just spoken bird, or made some mental connection to him. Keen to try and communicate again, he half strutted, half flapped over to a bare patch of ground, and started scratching at it, not sure what do draw, or if she would understand, but wanting to check it out.

At last Clanth made up his mind and began carving a rough drawing of a Stick-dog and a Stick-bird. He drew wavy lines from the Bird's mouth, then scribbled a lopsided frown on the dog's face. Then, with his leg out at an awkward angle, the bird clawed wavy lines from the dog's face, and a lightbulb above the bird. You don't understand me, but I can understand you. He grinned sheepishly, raising his shoulders around his head a little bit like a guilty child. He hoped she would understand.
OOC: This is our second thread where I have to draw stuff for a dog called Skye to understand XD Is it the same one, because that would be weird x3

He looked levelly onto the Dog's eyes, still a little surprised at his understanding of the Canine, and then slowly shook his head.

Skye yelped in surprise and thought hard. She had heard how to speak bird before but had forgotten. She growled in frustration and sat down then smiled and ran at the bird. She was playing a sort of firgure ot game. If the bird squaked then she knew it meant surprise. If it hissed it meant anger.

He let out an annoyed half-hiss, flapping his wings to warn her off, but not backing down. Clanth flashed his sharp, hooked beak at her so it glinted in the Sunlight. What was she playing at!?

Clanth found it amusing that she wanted to learn his language and that he was teaching her, and obligingly, since it fitted his mood a bit(although he was still a little ruffled by her lunge), put his head onto one side and chirupped, then hopped forward and began gently flapping his wings as though in interest.
