The day was still and her paws hitting the ground sounded like drums. The white husky bitch stood by the entrance to the Subway wondering if she should go down there. The last time she entered was with her mother and she was left there to feed herself because her mother was killed. Skie was scared to enter but when a stray dog caught site of her it didn't take her a second glance and she was down the steps. Her blue eyes were wide as she swerved through the the poles in the subway. Skie ran and jumped over a bench on the ground and started sliding toward the tracks. As she felt her hind legs slide over a train started slowing down and was coming closer and closer. Knowing that would be the end of her she thrust upward and she slid away from the tracks.
As she looked over her shoulder she caught the scent of the stray dog and she closed her eyes. The poles in the subway went away as she dissapeared into thin air and she watched the stray freak out and circle the spot where she was but he couldn't see her. Skie smiled and brushed passed the dog to a dark corner and she lied her head down softly un aware of a another dogs steps on the stairs.

OOC: Um, Skye, nice story, but please re-read the story at the beginning of Diamond Ridge; this place has been uninhabited by humans for years now. Thank-you, ~Raowolf

OOC: That's good. Thanks Swift pounded down the stairs, eyes blazing and teeth bared. This was his chase! How dare that slimy little fool cut him off. Oh, how he wanted to SCREAM! But there had to be two more chances yet... This was his territory until a pack claimed it. His, and his only. As the Rhodesian Ridgeback reached the bottom step, the intruder who had interrupted his chase scurried back up again, looking confused. He looked at it mutinously. Ruin his hunt and then back out when it got dangerous!? He tsked and swatted it with a paw. "Shoo." Swift growled, moving forth once more.
He aised his nose to the air and sniffed carefully, judging where the Husky had gone. He weaved slowly and silently around the poles and slid carefully over the benches, watching for movement all the while. Then he reached the far corner, and hissed under his breath as the scent trail ended. There was nothing there. As the train receded into the distance - set to auto and running ever since the humans had... It hurt to think - he came upon an idea, gently padding to the edge of the platform and peering carefully over the edge. His old collar slipped a little up his neck, flattening the ridge he was so proud of. There was nothing there, alive or dead, except for a long-gone rat.
Letting out a frustrated bark he padded back to the hard metal bench where the scent had ended and lay carefully down on it. A scream of frustration was building in the loner's throat. Then everyone would know...

Skie laughed as he got confused over her dissapearance. She walked forward and ruffled his fur a bit all the while knowing he couldn't see her. Skie ran to the corner and reappeared into the subway. You ok you look puzzled dear? she said with a laugh to herself. This male was not happy she was here so she sat down and waited for him to answer......

Swift whipped around, snarling with all the anger of a thousand demons and launched blindly at the spot where the intruder had ruffled his fur, mouth open wide and fangs glistening. The Scream caught and lodged in his throat. He swung and barely landed on his paws as he met empty air, although there was a faint whispering; a susarus of careful pawsteps. Eyes ablaze, he regained his balance and stood stock still. Barely a muscle twitched. His ridge stood proud and tall along his back, head high and searching.
When she re-appeared, he did not jump, or even show surprise, although he felt a little. Oh, and when she spoke... Such daring words... Two more chances. He thought silently. Two more chances and I blow. His 3 chance policy still prevailed. After a short pause of carefully studying the Husky Swift spoke coldly "Those are brave words. I suppose that you do not wish to take me on in a fight, bitch." His strong muscles were tensed and his head lowered, a snarl coming up his throat, sliding past the trapped Scream, his fangs bared, legs far apart, scars white and conspicuous. Hate coursed through the rogue's very veins.
Then the dead rat came to mind. Was it a sign? Were the Gods trying to tell him something? If so, then what? He did not relax his position, keeping his eyes focused despite his thoughts being elsewhere.
OOC: I don't mean bitch offensively ^^' Just specifying her gender to signal that he's figured it out (: ))

He stood even taller, wondering briefly whether to count her comment as another chance. No, not yet. That was just a reply; give her a little longer. Swift cricked his neck to either side, the only noise in the silence. "Well, it seems that your attitude is provoking one at the least!" Then he bent and tensed to spring. "And if you're not prepared to fight..." His voice dropped to a hiss, lips forming each word perfectly. "Then get. Out." If this was a film, then at that moment the camera would be zoomed directly onto his black lips as he spoke.

She flinched at his words and then he told HER to get out she wasn't leaving. She just lied down and looked at him yawning.

Second chance gone... "If you want to live then you will not treat me with such attitude, bitch. And where did all this sudden self-centered bravado come from? A minute ago you were cowering with fear." He sneered, eyes ablaze, snarling mockingly. What was that he could hear in the distance? The faint rumble of another train? Sure enough, a few lights were coming round the corner, shining like full moons.

3. His eyes lit up with a spark that ignited the flame of his fury. As the train approached he stretched his neck, beginning to quiver. "I... Warned... You..." Then he whipped up straight just as the train roared past and his flaming eyes were slammed shut as Swift opened his mouth farther than should be possible. The screeching brakes of the train and pounding of it's wheels were all but inaudible over his scream.
A high-pitched note that reverberated around the small station, and further. He held it on the same pitch; it would be too high for humans to hear, if there had been any, and even to dogs it was just within their hearing range. Thirty seconds and this intruder would be knocked out. 2 minutes and she would be deaf... And 5 minutes... If he could hold it that long...

Skie covered her ears but the scream kept coming. Her eyes became blood shot and her body started shaking convulsively. She had to stop him NOW. She stood and ran at him full speed hitting him hard enough to hopefully knock him off his feet. "LOOK YOU DONT OWN THE FREAKIN SUBWAY ALL YOU GOT TO DO IS LEAVE ME ALONE AND I WILL DO THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!" and with that she disspeared into thin air. SHe padded into the corner and curled into a ball watching him with fury in her eyes.

As the female intruder rammed into him the Scream was ended abruptly. He swore at the top of his voice as he staggered at the surprise attack, snarling viciously. Swift struggled to regain his balance, but as soon as he did she vanished. The bloodlust still roared in his veins, but he was too out of breath for another attempt at Screaming. The noise of the train faded again. At her words his floppy, torn ears went back indignantly and his lips turned back into their usual snarl.
But his eyes didn't have that burning, furious anger. Because she had struck him where it hurt - not physically; no, only the shock had caused him to lose his balance and it didn't even hurt atall. It was what she had said that struck home: 'You don't own this place.' He didn't. He didn't own anywhere. He was a Stray, mutated by the humans that were supposed to be slaves to him. He shuddered. Once he had been a pet, and a Show-dog. Surely he was better than... This!? With the weeds growing through the ceiling, and the rusty trains going past at uneven intervals. Suddenly the 4 year old felt very, very tired.
