Alarice,a husky mix, trotted care free into the packs lands knowing a death might come. something about her made it as if she couldn't control her mind anymore. She had anger issues and blew flames all over her if she got mad. Something she again didn't like. Her mother had been crazy as well as her dad and she hoped to god she would never see them again. She missed her brother though.....The soft fur on hers it was miss able but now she had grown up. Her paws were three times the size they were then and her body was compacted. She looked like she had been on steroids. She always had a look in her eye that said touch me and I will eat you but truly just if you studied her she wouldn't. Her whole life was just starting and right now she needed this pack to accept her. Alarice's white form strode casually but cautiously into the station. It looked empty but smelled like it was used recently. Her body tensed and made the muscles ripple healthily under her beautiful coat. She was not overly big just bigger than she should be.
She sniffed around as she moved up to the much smellier place. Her tail wagging as she zig zagged across the place sniffing. She was only 2 which was still considered a puppy really. Her whole body was wagging with her overly active tail. Alarice stopped dead as a dogs scent wafted to her nose. She was frozen to the spot in fear of what might happen. She couldn't move her legs if her life depended on it and right now it probably did....

Whitefire was curled up on the Desk Chair of the Chief's Office- her Den - her brown eyes drooping and her muzzle low. All night she had been Patrolling, and the same the Day before, and she was direly tired. But she would never let it show in public. The Alpha female of the Lehren Pack was alone in the small room, which was why she had allowed herself this small respite of laying down and closing her eyes, even though she knew she must open them again in barely 10 minutes.
Then she heard pawsteps on the other side of her locked door(she had learned with difficulty how to turn the Key) and sighed. She did not bother to scent the air, and in her old age it would do little good anyway, so simply resolved to slide of the Swivel Chair, steadying it as she went, and walk camly around the Desk. Her bck was just above level with it, and her long legs took long strides; her breed was a large one.
Then something occured to her as she reached up on her hind legs to unlock the Door: There was no-one around. She had instructed it herself! Zero and Teddy were doing the Long Patrol(a loop that stretched into every nook and cranny of the Territory - slow but effective), Mollie was collecting herbs in the Forest, Kane was training the Pups Aaron and Arron to fight well, and Honeybun was hunting. But it was too late. Already Whitefire was striding determinedly along the Corridor from her office, past the Temporary Cells, and toward the Reception.
She stopped for a moment by the Janitor's Closet, where Mollie kept her herbsand did most of her healing, but the Scent there was nearly a day old. Curious now, and a little worried, the White and Brindle Greyhound continued until at last she reached her destination, and what she saw there nearly made her hackles rise; only years of determined self-control training kept them down.
In a nice, yet instructive voice, she asked the Husky before her, "Well hello there young one. What brings you unnanounced into the Heart of Lehren Territory?" She could scent that it was a Stray, and strays were of course friends of the Lehren, as long as they caused no trouble, but one had to be careful.

She sniffed a bit trying to contract the dogs scent. Then it hit her square in the nose. Her eyes wide in fear she backed away from the fae. She had wanted to join but now pure fear made her move away. The look on her face showed she thought she would get killed and eaten maybe just tortured. She tried to stammer out some words from her frightened form. We I mean I was looking to join. I-I- I mean no harm m-miss. she stammered. The fear was radiating off of her. Alarice's ears drooped and her tail tucked. She was as scared as could get. Her body sank to the ground trying to be respectful was all.
OOC: Alarice acts scared but truly get her mad or mess with her pack she will eat u

Whitefire's face softened, although she felt little compassion for the Husky, and her tone was gentler as she lowered her head and looked with rich brown, understanding eyes, and said comfortingly, "I mean you no harm, young one." she could see the submission in the Other's body language, and the smell of fear was radiating off her like a skunk in danger. The Greyhound liked the respect the other had, even if she was a bit of a coward.
"Come now, you are respectful and I like that in a dog, but state your name and business, please. It is only polite. I am Whitefire, proud Thoroughbred Greyhound of the Lehren Pack, of which I am Alpha. And you are..." Her tone was still nice and respectful, but there was instruction in it also.

Alarice smiled weakly and stood up off the ground. I am here on behalf of joining. I uh I uh I am Alarice a husky mixed with Alaskan Malamute. I also mean no harm Whitefire. I will be respectful also she said walking closer and the fear almost gone. She was only a little.

Whitefire narrowed her eyes in a mixture of warmth and suspicion. "Yes." She nodded slowly, suddenly wishing she hadn't sent out all other Pack Members and left herself alone in Camp. Alone, that was, except for this 'Alarice'. "Alarice... That word stirs a memory. Have you any idea of the Origin of your name?" She asked thoughtfully. The wise greyhound had a vague idea it had something to do with a poison... "I would be glad to accept your offer, as would the other members of our Noble Pack, but first I must ask you... From where do you come?"

Whitfire seemed very suspicious. Her name was a poision of sorts and her mother had chosen it because she was very unpredictable and so was Alarice the poision. her mother had always said her poision is Alarice. The husky mixed cocked her head and thought hard. Uh-Uh I remember my mother saying it was a type of poision....and I came from I actually was born in a cave in the woods. Skye is my mother..... she said getting angry for the questions. A small flame on her tail began to form but she stopped it. Hoping Whitefire had not noticed Alarice yawned and then turned as a form showed in the doorway.
Skye, Alarice's mother had lost her puppy a while ago and now she had located her. She knew she was going to have to join to stay alive and she would if her pup was here. Her form appeared in the doorway. Sure enough Alarice stood in front of the Alphess looking healthy as ever. Skye barked happily and strolled forward and sat next to Alarice...

"I see." Whitefire nodded once. Then, much to her surprise, another dog entered. She could see traits in the similarities between the two, and although alarmed(and a little annoyed) at the intrusions of two strangers, she kept her hackles down and her air polite. Studying the two, the Greyhound realised with a jolt that this must be the Pup's mother! The mere look of relief on her face and the ease and familiarity the Latter sat down with proved that.
"Well speak of the Demon!" Whitefire used the common human phrase. "So you must be Skye. Your daughter just mentioned you... Well, what a happy reunion this is! I presume by your airs, and your very presence in itself, that you perhaps wish to join this noble pack?" She asked in a business-like tone.

Alarice growled slightly as her mother walked up and sat down. She was not in a good mood to deal with her mother's cooing. She was now taller than her mother and she was alot morre tempermental. When Whitefire spoke she glared at her mother. Hearing the alphess's question she prayed silently she wouldn't want to.
Skye notice Alarice seemed upset she was here but oh well. She turned to the Alphess and nodded silently. Her beautiful voice floated out slowly Yes, it is good that my daughter still speaks of me. Also I would like to join... she said looking at Alarice and meeting her hateful glare. Skye was confused on what she did to make Aarice hate her..

Whitefire nodded slowly, eyes understanding. "I see. Well, I would be happy to accept you, as would our other members, but it seems you 2 need some... Time alone." She nodded politely, seeing clearly the tensions that ran between Mother and Daughter, then turned and trotted away. The old greyhound had never known the love of a mother - well, she had once... Aw faint whine escaped her lips as she remembered her four pups, stolen... Shaking her head furiously she snarled under her breath and carried on, faster now, back to her office.

Alarice just stared at Skye's shape. She was skinny and for some odd reason caring for Alarice still. Alarice finally spoke in a much hate filled voice. Why did you come to find me? you abandoned me for 3 days! Do you know how I felt? she said feeling the anger and tension subsiding and the emotional feelings coming out.
Skye flinched in hurt at the words spoken to her from her daughter....I didn't mean to! I was trying to find your father Alarice that's all please understand me! she said tension rising in her voice. She had tears in her eyes and her ears fell back. She sighed and turned her head to look into Alarice's eyes. That icy stare sent a shiver down her spine....

Whitefire could here raised voices, and suddenly her own emotions came out and, against her better judgement, she turned and practically flew back down the corridor to stand a few feet from the two. "Oh Alarice, be grateful your mother has returned at all! I was stolen at a few days and never saw my mother again, and when I was little I told myself that she could have stopped it, and it was all her fault what... What happened to me. But then my own pups were stolen from me and I could do nothing, and I would do anything to get my mother, and my pups back. Your mother tried to care for you, and you're 2 years old - that's old enough to survive on your own for a lifetime! Most wolves leave their homes at 18 months!" There was panic in the old Dog's voice as she confessed her own helpless loss of her pups, and slight anger at Alarice's over-reaction.
"Have you ever loved, young one? Have you ever felt so strongly for someone that you feel you would do anything for them? Skye was stuck with a most horrendous choice as she was torn between those two loves of you and your father, so she had to compromise 3 short days just to maybe save his life! I cannot make you choose to or not to forgive her; that is your choice, but for Star-packs sake, make it the right one! You lose her, and you've lost her forever. Join the pack and be happy together, darlings. You've only got one shot to be together." Then she winced and was gone again, curled up, whining, in one of the empty hose-cases of a Fire-truck.

Alarice almost cringed at the old dogs words. She felt her heart closing in on her and she lowered her head in embarrasement. She had never thought of it that way. She had been so self concerned her mother's choice was all about her.
Skye stood stock still. Her heart silently reaching out to the old dog. She was wondering what Alarice would do and then Alarice looked....upset??? In all her puppyhood she had never seen Alarice give a paw step for someone's words but now she could see Alarice had poision and emotions. A strange combination.
Alarice looked up and hugged her mother. The frailer frame horrified her. She whined in sorrow and stepped back. Skye was looking in astonishment at her and they soon hugged once again.

The Greyhound's eyelids fluttered as she lay there and her cheeks puffed out a little. She wondered briefly what had come of the two, and, realising that may soon come to look for her, slid out of the empty, hidden space and trotted to stand by the engine. They would come to her when they were ready.
OOC: Okay, what positions would you like? ^^ Open ones are in the info on Lehren, in this Board.
