The greyhound sat, still as a statue, outside the building. Images flashed in her mind and she resisted a shiver. But it was not long now. Soon she would have a pack of her own. Strays, easily manipulated and eager to serve or protect, always came here, so she had figured this was the best place to start. They would come along soon. She only had to wait. Whitefire's tail twitched impatiently as she waited for her future allies to come along. The shelter building rose up behind her. The Eastern territory would soon belong to a pack. The pack would soon belong to her.
