Aaron and Arron ran as fast as they could in the overwhelming heat, panting hoarsely and barely managing to stay straight. Aaron's blue eyes swayed in and out of focus and his long lashes drooped tiredly, but he always snapped them open again whenever they drifted to dangerous. Beside him, his brother was a near mirror image. Only the slight difference in face showed that they were not as one.
The hard hot pavement whizzed below them and burned the pup's still soft pads - he barely resisted a yelp. But he and his brother had been chosen for this and possibly the whole fate of the Lehren relied on the Scouts delivering this message. Arron was exhausted. The heat was far too much for his long spaniel fur, and even as his target ahead was sighted he felt as if he could not take another step. But there was a determination within him and his twin that was not common for the two troublemakers. All of a sudden, Aaron let out a half-hearted bark, and the tall figure ahead began sprinting towards them at a speed that was not possible. Barely 2 seconds later, a tall white greyhound with brindle markings that blazed like fire stood before them, and they collapsed.
Whitefire squinted as two tiny dots appeared on one of the streets up ahead. The heat-haze prevented her from seeing clearly, but there was a surefire test to see if it really was them. How long had it been since the last report? She thought very loudly and clearly, with an Alpha-like command, 'Bark' and awaited an answer.
There was a hoarse, tired, half dead bark from the staggering figure on the left, and Whitefire knew it was Aaron. The heat was overwhelming on her white fur and burned the pale skin underneath, but when she sprinted with her mutation... She almost imagined the heat running in fear as the wind whipped through her short fur. When she reached AA, her spies, they collapsed. Both their breathing heavily, panting like they'd run a dozen marathons. Which, in theory, she thought, with no guilt, they had.
Dragging them into the shade she waited impatiently for the pups to resurface. It was a shame there was no water... A quick douse would have woken them up soon enough. She tapped her claws on the cool ground of the shade impatiently. Finally Arron pulled himself into a laying position. Slightly surprised, as it was usually his Mind-Reader brother who spoke first, Whitefire lowered herself painfully to his height and thumped down herself. It looked as if she would be here for a while...
Whatever news was to come, it didn't look good. Hopefully none of the pack would overhear; spirits had to be high, these days.

As Teddy walked his large body down the stairs he seen Arron and Aarron rushing into the building, for some reason they were scared and worried about something. All he could think was what was going on with other packs, slowly loners were grouping up into packs, most were rushing out of the city into the outskirts to live wild. Which of coarse was bad cause the Rabies was spreading real fast out their, they had a few reports of it coming in but with packs building up the disease wasn't going to get far, the border was protected high from those who dared cross pack territories.
As he reached them Whitefire was their, something bugged her, he could tell that she was worried about her pack, mostly her mind was on the bloodstar pack. They had been very active every were in the city, more and more came together. He slowly went over by Whitefire and sat by her side, he looked down at the pups and then up at Whitefire. "Whats the bad news now, Um Whitefire later I need to speak with you alone their is some stuff you need to know" he said, his look was with bad news. He didn't think the news for which he didn't want to worry any one who could read mind.

OOC: Yes, I have seen and considered him, but feel due to his personality that he will not suit the deputy job, as this is the dog who gives the punishments. He may be okay for Organiser, but for now I have put him as Nanny This means that he looks after pups should there be any, helps Mollie(the healer) when needed and is otherwise a Hunter/guard. However, I may reconsider with time. Thanks for joining, look forward to your post. ~Raowolf

Whitefire glanced at Teddy as he sat. She had been hoping none would hear this. She was about to shoo him away when Aaron began to choke out words. Arron had not yet recovered. Unable to stop him, the Greyhound was forced to let him speak on infront of the Mountain Dog. She closed her eyes, trying to make out the words, dreading the worst and hoping desperately not for it.
Aaron still lay, faint worry for his Brother spiking his words occasionally. "Sabora... Has a... A plan. Little... Assassins..." He tried again. "Secret... And hired... Hired... Trying to kill..." He gasped. All the words made sense in a sentence, but jumbled up as he choked them... He still could not breath, and now his head drooped again, eyes rolling back into his skull. He couldn't talk yet, so left the two to stare at eachother confusedly and figure it out for themselves until he could speak properly.
Whitefire sighed impatiently. She had heard this from Morgan herself; the Little Assassins and plans to wipe out the Lehren. But she did not stop him. Poor Ted had heard this much; more could not hurt. Much. "Take your time, Aaron." She growled through gritted teeth. He held up a '1 minute' paw. She turned her attention to the Adult next to her. He looked a little worried. Aren't we all? "What do you want to talk about, Ted? These two aren't exactly listening in."

When he heard the words from the young one he kept all thoughts out of his mind and in space, nothing was going to get to him, at this point this pack needed to be strong and help each other out through tough times mainly when the pack might be going into war. When Whitefire looked over and spoke to him he gave a light nod, "Well as we all know every one in the pack is already knowing things aren't going well, rabies is spreading fast which means we should try and keep the borders of are territory on tight lock down so it don't get near the members or the young ones, lately I been noticing something weird on the streets, the genes of mutation is slowly becoming a bit rare" he said in a relaxed tone.
He was silent for a moment, all the words he spoke made him lose his breath, "When I mean rare, I mean rare....certain mutations have slowly became unknown...like you wouldn't see them as common I only ran into one stray that has Ice powers and its a pup as for only one that has acid viper which Arron and Aarron met, as for the Bloodstar pack they are becoming more stronger, they have been choosing some very dangerous strays miss Whitefire, if I might say I think its best if these two just stay here for a bit, their known to catch young ones and keep them as slaves" he said.

Whitefire closed her eyes and took a deep long breath, delaying the moment when she would have to do what she would. Then finally she spoke. Her tone was flat and tired. "I am glad you have noticed these things. We are small and not all too strong in our ranks. It seems almost mundane to say our hearts are strong." She looked up towards the blazing sky. "This is one of the last days of heat. Mollie is collecting supplies, but there is sure to be a breakout of Rabies. We still know little of all Powers and Mutations, and the Borders are no strongly decided." Then she stood straight, eyes looking almost equally at Ted as she turned to fully face him; she had not met one yet that was taller than her.
"Which is why I've decided to give you the Rank of Organiser. It is a tough job, you will have to be awake at all hours, with little sleep and you must constantly be open to suggestions, but you see these things. Think straight, and organise the patrols in the right way at the right times, and we will get through this."

He stood their and listened to her, all the things she said sank into his brain and locked tight, he was given a position that was really big. He new he had to make sure things went smooth and the pack didn't fall apart, when she gave him that position he gave a nod to her. "I will for sure do my best" he said to her, "We have a small pack but I can work things out with the whole shifts during the mornings and nights, if we can get two more members we will be able to have some good patrol work" he said to her.
"We might be out numbered by the bloodstar pack but I know that we will make it, a new pack has been brought up in the city called the Rebellions, if we can try and make alliances with them we will have a pretty good chance on chasing the bloodstar pack out of the city" he said in a calm tone. "If we can be alliances with them we can probably team up and create a plan....we can out smart them and bring them down" he said to her.

"Good. I see you have things under control." She said, emotionless. "Summer is fading, and Mollie's getting all the Herbs she can, but it might not be enough. Numbers need to be bulked up incase of..." She trailed off. It felt as though simply by saying the word it would bring it about. She searched for an alternative. "Incase of... Emergencies." Then she smiled, eyes unusually light for her. "And you've been planning and expecting this, haven't you?" She chuckled, but only for a second before sighing again.
She looked around, then carefully trotted over to the doorway of the small shop they were in, peeped out, then ducked back in again. There was no-one in sight, scent or sound outside. She was relieved they were alone and felt a little(if only a little) safer to speak freely. The old Greyhound laid down with a groan, and closed her eyes. The heat still reached them, even inside the crowded room.
It was a small shop, with not much space. A small counter took up half the space - AA were collapsed under the little doorway inside. A few shelves lined the walls with old magazines that were out of Date before Diamond Ridge had even been abandoned. And a single stand separated two aisles from eachother. Whitefire and Ted were in one of these. She turned back to him. "And, about keeping these two back... You can try, but..." On cue, Aaron raised his head, a little recovered from his and his brother's running escapade. "You'll never keep us down!" He gasped. Whitefire shrugged at Ted. "Pups will be pups..."
"We didn't finish our Report!" Yelled Aaron, sitting up as best he could. He was still exhausted, but his report was needed. "I understand your risks, Aaron, but all you have said so far I already know." She spoke slowly, as though choosing her words with great care. He frowned, then Arron sat up too. "So... You know all about..." "The little assassins," "And..." "Sabora's plans for war and total destruction," "And..." "There's something else!?" Now she was alarmed. Relieved to have something that his leader did not already know, the Brothers took their time in relieving the vital information.
"Well. You see..." "We did risk so much getting this bit..." "The reward must be great, you know..." "Oh spit it out!" "All right all right! Well... Sabora has hired... Swift. The Screamer." "She said he could have any reward he wanted, for each one of us he kills." The next bit he didn't want to say. "K-K-Kane's high on the list. One of the first." He bit his lip. "Then Mollie's popular 'coz she can't fight..." "And... And you, Ted." Arron looked down, ashamed. He hadn't wanted to deliver the news.

When she spoke he nodded, when she finished up he spoke, "Whitefire almost all of us knows about this war starting to come, we need to build up fast cause their populations in their pack is growing each day" he said to her. When the pups finally put themselves together they began to speak, he listened to them all the words they said were getting locked into his brain, when they finally stop talking about what was to come he looked up at Whitefire.
"Kane has a hard shell but not strong enough ears, his speed and attack is very slow and it will only take a few minutes maybe seconds to kill him with that scream as for Mollie she might be a excellent fighter but all it takes is one good hold and that scream will cause her to go deaf which will be bad for us cause she wont know what were talking about" he said to her, his thoughts and plans slowly started to clash in one big plan for the war that was about to come.
"If we keep sending those two out their it might be a slight chance they might come back dead on are door step...to be honest thats one of the worst things I fear...I am not afraid for my life, when my time comes it will come" he said to her, he stayed quiet once more till she said something to him.

OOC: I am sorry to say that half way through writing this reply the real life Dog my character Whitefire is based on has recently passed away. I will consequently not be Roleplaying her for a short while. Sorry for any inconvenience or disruption this may cause, but I just can't face it right now. Thank-you for your patience.

Ted was silent yet speechless on what she said, his mind went blank as did his face, he couldn't think of what to say on what she had just told him. "Whitefire we really must take actions, If they take you out were done for, we don't have any betas or an alpha male to take your place if something happens to you..Don't give up, if we can come up with a excellent plan we will be able to wipe them out maybe chase them out of the city" he said to her, all he worried was what if Sabora or someone from her pack got a hold of Whitefire, he really couldn't even think of what might happen.

OOC: Recovery Time over, time to stop Slacking off IC: Whitefire sighed tiredly. "You are very brave, Ted. Few do not fear for their own lives; many pretend not to be afraid, but when it really comes to it... Why, even myself..." The Old Greyhound did not know why she was Confessing this to him; there was just something about her Organiser that made him seem Trustworthy, and made her want to leave him with her Darkest Secrets. But of course she never would. Nothing could make the Lehren Leader give up her Secrets. Nothing - not even a Trustworthy Pack Member.
Then her Head snapped back from the position staring blankly at the far wall that she had not realised she had been facing, so she was looking at Ted again. He was one of the Few that could compete with her height; her long legs and tall body granted her above even the Wolves of the City. The Dog before her still had to look a little up. "You think straight. That is Good." She shifted in her lying position, stretching a Leg out slowly, scarce holding back a Groan. "You are Right, yet we grow also. Slowly, yes, indeed, but it is Growth. It is mainly Sabora's crude means that gain her members; gathering or threatening to kill any Stray that happens to pass within 20 tail-lengths of her too-large Borders. Indeed, perhaps we gather slowly, but by far we are more effective! If every loose maniac and vagabond that passed by were to become part of our pack we'd be a bunch of hopeless loonies. One Day cutting corners will come back on that She-wolf, Ted, trust me."
"I agree with you on the Matters of Kane and Mollie, on the Most, but I met Swift the Other Day... Charming Bugger," She said the last part sarcastically, "Seemed to think there was a Rat standing right behind me doing Crude imitations. Nothing of the Sort of Course. But back to business, I managed to make him let slip of the Weakness of his Scream. Indeed it is Strong; I am sure you have heard his Tantrums many a Time at night; it carries awfully, but he cannot hold it. Enough to deafen at its Worst." Her Tone was business-like, unrevealing, and the Weak Hopelessness that had plagued it but a few minutes before was gone. She was the Emotionless Leader once more.
Then Aaron piped up again. "Hey - I 'aint afraid eiver! If that Morgan comes near me and my Bruver again, this time I'll bat him one!" He reared up onto his Hind Legs and Swung his Furry Paws, imitating the Action. "Kane's been trainin' us extra hard like, so this time he won't get away! He's a Screamer too, y'see, so when we met him n' Rumbo n' Rose n' Sabora, we tried to be all Brave and stuff but Arron's heart had had a Shock, y'see, so we couldn't fight proper. But not his Time..." He slipped and went crashing back to the Ground with an 'uff!' of surprise.
Sighing again, Whitefire looked down at the Dirty Floor and her Slim, scarred paws. "Oh Aaron. If only it were that simple." At that point the Second Brother, that until now had been silently staring ahead, eyes seeing what no others could, looked up seriously. Making no signal that he had heard his Brother blame their Cowardice on his Holed and Weak Heart, he said quietly, "Oh Whitefire..." And Gulped. She looked up.
Then his voice took on a Trance-like air; he was revealing a Prophecy of sorts. "It shall not be by Scream that you shall die. No claw shall pass the Killing Blow. Fire will not Scold you, Water will not Drown. No mortal Jaws shall crunch your bones, but they shall be Jaws all the Same. It shall crush you in its Grip of Ice, And you shall have known it was Coming. For your Time is not long off now, Whitefire. Your Time is Ending, And when the Land is White, As the Forest of your Pelt, Your End shall be nigh."

Ted sat their and listened to her, the words once more sank into his brain and was locked their. As he listened his mind began to think on what it would be like if they would fail, they had to try their hardest to keep bloodstar from over populating and taking over the city. When the pups spoke he looked over at them, their confidence was high, but they would need more then just hope and confidence. When the one spoke about what would happen to Whitefire it hit him like a ton of bricks, "Aint their one stray that has Ice powers....Oh what was her name, Reese it was...she is in the Rebellions pack" he said to them. He was silent for a moment, he was thinking of how many were their in the city that had that power, "Is that a rare power Whitefire" he said to her, he was curious cause he didn't come across no one with that power.

Whitefire nodded vaguely, distracted. The Prophecy had shocked her. She was old, yes, and had lived a long and unhappy life; at times she had wanted it to be over. But now... For the sake of her pack she needed to go on! Still not speaking, she stood slowly, then muttered quietly, almost to herself, although it was clearly an order, "Yes... Rare Power. Not many... Don't let any near..."
